Often a person suffering from untreated sleep apnea will awake suddenly gasping for air. There are two phases of sleep. NREM, or non-rapid eye movement sleep is the phase in which the body begins to relax. REM, or rapid eye movement sleep is a phase of deep sleep. Dreams occur during REM sleep. The two phases cycle repeatedly throughout the night. People who suffer from sleep apnea are often awakened and this cycle is broken, resulting in interrupted sleep that leaves him or her feeling tired upon waking.

It is essential for your body to have uninterrupted sleep in order to work properly. You can find all the CPAP supplies you need to ensure that your quality of life is as it should be.
