Things They Should Teach In Business School

There are some things that should be taught in business school which almost all business schools neglect to teach their students. If these things were added to the business school curriculum, businesses today would probably be doing a lot better and business students who are graduating today would probably feel more equipped to do their new jobs.
Business skills that should be taught in school include:
- Basic printing and presentation skills. Every business requires that you do a little bit of brochure printing or some online presentations. You don’t need the skills of a commercial printing company for this but you should be taught the basics during business school.
- Human psychology. Business really is all about working with people. To work well with people, you need to understand people. There should be more psychology courses in business schools.
- Personal finance. People who work in business really ought to have a thorough understanding of their own personal finances and not just the typical business accounting that is taught in these programs. This knowledge puts business school students at an advantage in the world.
If these things were taught in business school, don’t you think that business school would be so much better?

I dont think this is all true. I went to business school over a year ago and they didnt teach us any of these things but I still have a great job right now. I also felt very equipped to do my job right after I graduated. I really dont think this information is very accurate.

I agree with you on this. I teach at a business school and I feel like our curriculum needs to change. We need to start teaching everything so the students are 100% prepared for the real business world!

I agree that business schools need to start teaching human psychology. Many business do not know how to work with people and thats alot of what a business is. The curriculum really does need to change in business schools!

I graduated from business school alittle over 6 months ago. I wish they had taught us alittle bit more on personal financing. I do alot of financing at my job and some of the stuff I had to be taught because I had no idea how to do it.

I do alot of printing and presentations for my company and I wish I had been taught alittle bit more about this subject when I was in business school. When I first started making big presentaions for the company I felt very unprepared. I agree with you, business schools need to start expanding the curriculum so the students are prepared for everything in the business world!

I think business school’s do not teach alot of what that they need to be teaching. I went to business school and when I got hired for my first job there was so many things I did not know. I felt so unprepared but it wasnt my fault. The school should have taught us everything we needed to know. I felt like I went to schoolo for nothing.
