Text messaging is a common way to exchange information today. It is also a way that some people make money. How people do this varies.

Some of the ways that people make money off of SMS messages include:

Answering text messages. There are services available where users can ask questions and receive immediate answers by SMS message. Working as a guide for one of these services allows you to make money off of text messages.
Providing premium SMS content. Some people will pay for SMS messages like news alerts or daily SMS horoscopes. Providing this content is a way to make money off of text messages.
Mobile advertising. A lot of people are getting into mobile advertising. This is a way of doing targeted marketing to people’s cell phones. This type of advertising may increase a business’s profits which means that you make money off of it.
Providing SMS services. Companies that offer services (such as mobile aggregator services) which help to make text messages move smoothly between carriers are making a lot of money off of this industry.

Can you think of any more creative ways to make money off of text messaging? You should try because there’s a lot of money to be made in this business today!

Dreamweaver extension can help you learn code

There is a very popular school of thought in the web development world that rewards programmers who use WYSIWYG tools. The biggest challenge with these tools comes from those users who do not truly understand the code that is being written for them. Like when your 7th grade math teacher told you it was okay to use your calculator as soon as you could do the problems without it. Seemed counter intuitive then, and the same applies here.

When you do understand what your output is, you can then up your code capabilities by the installation of a dreamweaver extension , or an external software package that, when installed with the Adobe Extension Manager, provides additional functionality to Dreamweaver.

Specialty application development can also be added to your Dreamweaver application by installing
PHP scripts. These are pre-made code solutions that provide complete functionality.

After these scripts are loaded in, all that is left for the developer is to customize and apply appropriate style functions that will seamlessly integrate the new functionality into the existing web pages.

For those coders that truly understand what the output is all about, these extensions can save hours and hours of repetitive work. For those a little less knowledgeable, it is a fine opportunity to learn.

The Best Provider

There are many different types of internet service providers out there. You really have to look carefully at each provider to get the best possible deal. I have spent a lot of time combing through the details of each service, and the features vary quite a bit. Some offer higher download speed, and half the upload speed. Some even offer wireless internet access. Often, when researching the specifics of each provider, you will find a lot of internet jargon that makes it hard understand or differentiate a feature from a description. If you take the time to really investigate, I’m sure you’ll find that it pays off in the end.

I have been very happy with my internet service, and I have been with them for a year now. They offer me the same upload speed as my download speed, and they also sent me a wireless router to help me make my home network wireless. I am really enjoying the increase in speed, and the ability to walk around my house with my laptop. I can now look up recipes in the kitchen, or do some basic searches in front of the tv. I could have asked for anything else!

We Want a Smaller Power Bill

My husband and I have been curious about home solar systems and the pros and cons of solar energy. Our electricity bills average several hundred dollars every month, and let me tell you, I am absolutely sick of paying the power company that much money. My husband and I have three kids. We live in a big old house in San Diego. Over the past few years, we’ve been doing what we can to make the house more energy efficient, like putting in extra insulation, replacing the leaky windows, and sealing cracks, but there’s a limit to what we can do with an old building. So far we’ve managed to reduce our power bill by about 25% every month, but we’d really like to get off the power grid, at least in part.

Fortunately, my husband is pretty knowledgeable about construction matters - he did most of the updates to the house himself. He won’t be installing solar panels himself though - that is, if we decide to go ahead with that project. We are really looking into this carefully because we want to understand the process clearly, and of course we are interested in whatever tax credits we can get.

The Frustrations of Car Repair

My 1983 Nissan 280ZX

I work on my own car, a 1983 Nissan 280ZX. For a little while now I’ve been trying to track down an intermittent problem that is preventing the car from starting. Because it doesn’t do it all the time, the car runs, but not reliably enough to trust taking it anywhere.

One thing we have wondered is whether the air flow meter is causing problems, perhaps locking shut and cutting off the flow of air to the engine. It is a large flow controller set in the nose of the car, right behind the air filter. This mass air flow sensor also has a swinging door that opens to let air through. The car’s computer, which tests the content of the exhaust via the oxygen sensor, tells it how far to open and therefore how much air to let through into the intake manifold.

Another thing we’ve considered it could be is the computer that controls the electronic fuel injection system. The fuel injection is an early system, so the computer does not control very much, but it does control fuel delivery to the engine. So if something is wrong with the computer or the wiring harness, the engine might not be getting fuel.

There are so many things this could be, and all I can do is wait for the car to have problems and then try to narrow down the possibilities. I hate electronic car problems — they are the most difficult things to track down, especially when they are intermittent!

What is a Thermal Mass Flow Meter?

Do you know what a thermal mass flow meter is and why it is important for you to know? To many people, from homeowners to large factories, it is one thing that could possibly save tons of money on energy expenses every year. A thermal mass flow meter is a mechanism that gauges the flow measurement in pipes that carry air, oxygen, natural gas, nitrogen or other liquids for heating and additional materials.

The general use of a thermal mass flow meter combines temperature sensors and heating elements that are designed to estimate the flowing heat throughout the system. There are newly designed sensor elements that are called resistance temperature detectors that are made out of platinum wire. These wires are wound around mandrels of ceramic that are then inserted into a stainless steel tube. In regulating and determining the flow of the substance, consumers can benefit from lower energy costs.

There are many important purposes for the use of thermal mass flow meters like in wastewater aeration, hydrogen monitoring, landfill gas management and measuring the flow of natural gas going to heating appliances and boilers. As for the use in homes, there are different kinds of flow meters available to assist in heating the home more efficiently and lowering energy costs.

Camera Surveillance in the Age of Computers

There are many things you can do with a spycam these days, in the age of computers. Many surveillance cameras are now wireless and can be hooked up to a computer or a TV. They can even transmit their signals so that you can check the picture online, such as what many childcare facilities and doggy daycares are now offering!

The uses of these types of surveillance cameras are endless. Businesses can download the camera footage and burn DVDs for data storage. Parents can check on their kids from work or home, and reassure themselves that their kids are okay and their caregivers are treating them properly. Dog owners can even check on their dogs from home or work, and see how much fun they are having at doggy day care!

Of course, wireless hidden cameras also offer plenty of opportunities for abuse as do many things. Some of it is unintentional abuse, such as when someone leaves a camera on and captures what could be considered underage porn, or such as when someone misinterprets what they see and accuses a caregiver of abusing their child. And of course, there are purposeful abuses, such as when someone knowingly uses a hidden camera in a way that is illegal.

All in all, though, the spycam has opened up a world of possibilities that have made our lives easier, happier, and more secure!
