Well, I do illustrations for a film company.

I have been drawing for them for the last ten years and it has been a blast.  I have worked on a large number of short animation films, as well as some full length ones as well.  I guess for me the best part is that I get paid to do something I love and that is one of the best feelings in the world.

But this morning I have had to get up early to touch up the illustrations that I was working on last night.  It was rather humid here and some of the pictures just didn’t turn out the way I was hoping, so I am going over everything to make sure they will be ok for the client meeting that is scheduled this afternoon.

It shouldn’t take too long to get everything fixed and make it down to Actuality Films – I should be there by noon.  I can’t wait to see what we will be working on tomorrow.

I know it is probably time for me to start going on a diet and watching what I eat better and more closely. I guess what it comes down to is I just got lazy and now I am paying the price for it. But I do not want to be overweight forever so I think I will start making that change soon. For now though I guess I will just be keeping my eye out for a costume I can fit into.

Sometimes I take my own kids to visit the farm.  It takes over an hour for us to drive there from the city, but the kids don’t mind. They always get excited about going to the farm, especially because they can play with the cats and feed the goats and chickens.  Frankly,  I think the kids get more excited about going to the farm than they did when I took them to Disneyland a couple of years ago.  They got tired of waiting in lines and I could’ve saved myself what it cost.  Pete thinks that’s pretty funny.  He keeps saying he should start charging us admission for visiting.

I found a wonderful site that offers quite a variety of unique cat toys including pole cat toys.  There were many styles to choose from and they were priced surprisingly low.  I ordered several but I was most excited to discover a line from Zanies which I had never bought before.  I purchased furry toys, toys with tassels, and even a fish made of feathers.  Zanies cat toys offer many higher quality styles than I have never seen before and I am sure that they will provide hours of fun for my cats.

Now that I have found this site I don’t think I will buy my cat toys any other way.  It’s convenient, quick, and gives me an opportunity to choose from many toys without going to several stores.

My fiberglass wall fountain, the pride and joy of my front patio, now lies in shambles, an innocent victim.

Oh, it began innocently enough (it always does).  I was summoned to my door by a most vicious knock, a tapping that can only be compared to the last desperate grasps of a corpse attempting to escape from its final wooden resting place.  And suddenly, a crash, a dying scream from a silent witness.  And there she was-Beelzebub in an eight year old girl’s body-standing, staring, admiring her careful handiwork.

“I’m sorry, ma’am,” she teased.  “I was just leaning against here, waiting for you to come.”

“Leaning?”

“Yeah.”

Her mother-or for all I know, her parole officer-came jogging over, her visage expressing the emotions of either excitement or worry.

“Jenny!  Apologize.”

“I did!” she protested.

She did.  And all I have to show for the pieces of mounted wall fountains that were once a single, beautiful fountain is a personal check for fifty dollars and a box of Do-Si-Dos.

One activity that my friend is really fond of is airsoft.  He loves to run military maneuvers in games such as capture the flag, etc.  Some say that he goes a little overboard, but he enjoys it.

I’m thinking of buying him an airsoft gun from tokyo marui.  They make a varied assortment of weapons, and it will be a big upgrade from the rental guns that he normally uses.  I’m not sure whether I am going to buy him a P90 or a sniper rifle.  Knowing his personality, a sniper rifle will probably be more suited for him.  I can see him now under the cover of brush waiting to knock off his next target.

If you have a buddy in the military, introduce him to airsoft.  It’s a great activity that will allow them to have some fun with their military training.  It also may work as a nice stress reliever from the normal grind of civilian life.

On the flipside, there are also dark angels.  Dependent upon the person, they may want a dark angel because that is how they want to be represented.  Or conversely, the person may want a dark angel tattoo with a regular angel being dominant to show that good overcomes evil.  It really depends upon the person.

Tattoos are representative of the person and to a lesser extent what people believe in. They are way to show others what makes them tick.  This type of artwork elicits a lot of response from people with either a negative or positive connotation.

So people who choose an angel as their tattoo design need to understand that art is perceived differently by different people.  Choosing something for any other reason than a special meaning to yourself is not recommended for tattoos.

I like to see the older guy reading his paper, the barista making a sandwich order on the island grill, and the girl sneaking out to the outdoorkitchens to sneak a smoke while her boyfriend’s on the phone.  It’s vibrant, and life filled, and I breathe a little bit easier slipping into the background.  Even counting my procrastination, I still get a shocking amount of work done while I’m here.  So much going on around me actually makes it easier to ignore, for some reason.  I have one of those outdoor fireplaces on my balcony at the apartment (I like to sit outside and its cold here) and I’m never quite as relaxed there as I am here.  What does that say about me?  It’s probably nothing good.

Photo gifts are a perfect option for weddings.  It can always be difficult to choose the perfect gift for a new couple.  In the past you would offer gifts to help them start their new home, but these days most couples already have their home started and do not need the traditional wedding gifts.
