I’m a personal trainer. I work at a medium sized gym that is not one of the big box chain types like Gold’s. Times are tough right now because nobody seems to have any money. Because people don’t have money, they are eliminating things from their budgets that they don’t find absolutely essential. And while to me, physical fitness is absolutely essential, many of my clients don’t feel the same way. I’m losing clients left and right, but I still need to put food on the table.

So I decided to think outside of the box. How could I find a way to supplement my income without changing professions? I have a friend who has some serious video equipment. He does freelance work and has worked on some commercials which you have probably seen on television. So I offered him free training if he would help me create a training video. He worked with me and we came up with a very professional looking video, and he put them on CDs for me. He has one of those fancy CD printers, and man does that disc printer put out a good looking CD. So now I’m selling workout videos at the gym, and they are selling really well. I know that without his help in producing the video, and the fact that he had that CD printer, none of this would have been possible.
