I’ve always wanted to be a telemarketing consultant, but I’ve been stuck doing inside sales consulting. Don’t get me wrong, it is fun, but I’d like to move on from sales. I have spent many days coaching different types of teams on how to improve their techniques to get the most out of their sales task force. With the latest push for telesales outsourcing, I think I could greatly benefit our company by moving over to the telemarketing department. I have learned quite a bit from my current manager, he has taught me everything I know about sales, and I have been very successful because of his teaching.

For now, I just need to branch out, see and do something different. I do like sales, but I just need a change of scenery, even if it isn’t a complete change. I’m all for learning new things and doing some telemarketing work might be the change I’ve been looking for. Time will tell, so the sooner I get into this type of position, the better. It looks like I’m the first one on the list to transfer from my department, and since I submitted my request three weeks ago hopefully I’ll hear back something this week.
